New Addition
Just a quick note while I convalesce. Rachel came a knockin' early on Friday morning! 10 days before from due date is not a bad thing, thank you, Lord!
Drove myself and the boys to the hospital with contractions every 3 minutes. The hospital is 45 miles away (1/2 of those are on the interstate)! Foolishly, I sent my husband to work...well what drama is in "he drove me to the hospital"? LOL! Yeah, I'm crazy like that!
The preparations for a the c-section went like clock work. However, the surgery was a difficult and long one as there was a lot of scar tissue and adhesions from the last two deliveries. Suffice it to say, I was well relieved to hear baby Rachel cry out! She weighed 9 lbs and 1 oz and measured 19 1/2" long. Boy did that ultrasound technician get it wrong! What happened to 6 lbs 15 oz! Someone needs to get some more training!
Recovery is going slowly as I developed an infection and am supposed to stay off my feet.
I was blessed with a sweet little girl who sleeps for long periods of time. Last night she woke up twice and not with crying but the smacking of lips as if to say hey mom, I'm thirsty. 'Scuse me while I go back and rest.
Be blessed.

Rachel is very beautiful. This post took forever, and I'm glad you're on your way to recovery. Please stay off your feet. She looks huge in the pictures, LOL.
Stopping by to see how you are doing, I'm sure all is well. Also I finished the book by Laurie Perry. Totally enjoyed it and Thanks for rescuing me from what I was reading which was The Hunt Club by John Lescroart...lol. Would you like me to return it to you or should I pass it on.
