Well ya'll, I got to the Stitch n Pitch in Philadelphia. We stayed at the Garden Inn Hilton (not because it we are rock stars, but because it was for one night!). The price actually wasn't too bad. For you moms, there is a fridge and microwave in the room! The staff was pleasant. The Hilton was right smack in the middle of downtown, in front of the SEPTA station in Chinatown. We had breakfast at the Amish place in the Reading Terminal Market which was not fancy, but nice.
The game, which the Phillies won by the by, was exciting! They set it off from the beginning. The stadium was impressive too. There was even a Phun Zone kiddie park for the little ones. It was nice and clean. The Phillies know how to welcome their fans!
The Stitch N Pitch folks (TNNA) gave away goodie bags, size 19 Clover needles and Plymouth brightly colored yarn and many discount coupons for LYS.
The SnP director (I think) threw the first pitch and the Phanatic took pleasure in getting in the way!
Saw many stitchers in the SnP section, knitters, crochets and needlepointers! It was very cool. We sat in the second section up between 1st and 2nd base. It felt very close. DH says it because of the unique construction of the field...I don't know but it was good seating.
I would definitely do it again. Happy Father's Day, Honey!
